Deming Booms 3 out of the Park Tuesday, April 13th , 2021 Hitting three home runs in a game is usually something to celebrate, but there was no celebration to be found at Chiefs Ballpark after the hitting barrage from Keagan Deming. The Montreal Maroons dropped the contest, 9-8, to the Santa Fe Chiefs, leaving Deming with only a historical footnote as consolation. Keagan is blessed with a natural home run swing so he gets the ball up in the air real quickly," Montreal manager Jason Weber said after the loss. "It's just a shame we couldn't win the game, too. I'm sure it spoils the day a little for him." Along with putting three in the stands, Deming went 4-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," he told reporters after the game. "Mostly you'll fail if you really try to hit one, but today I tried on the last one." Keagan Deming hit a solo-shot off Mike McBeth in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brian Hammond in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Joe Wills in the 9th. This season, Deming is batting at a .359 clip with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs. |
