AC Names Cy Young Award Winner Monday, November 11th , 2024 The Philadelphia Marauders have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's William Deel, this year's American Conference Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Deel compiled a 13-5 record in 32 starts, tallied 195 strikeouts in 171.2 innings and recorded a 2.52 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .214 batting average against him. He received 2 first place votes out of a possible 5.
