Halifax Sweeps into the Championship Series Friday, October 4th , 2024 It was a sweet sweep for the Halifax Heathens as they eased past the Dallas Dragons to advance to the Championship Series. Halifax won the final game by a 4-3 count and the series 4-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Nick Sumney, who was named series MVP. For the series, Sumney hit .500 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Halifax Heathens don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Boston Whistlers - Philadelphia Marauders series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
