Setback for Heathens and Chance Smith Monday, November 2nd , 2026 Halifax Heathens second baseman Chance Smith got another setback today. His doctors informed him that his injury was not responding to treatment as well as they hoped and that he would need more time to rehabilitate. If all goes well, they expect Smith to be ready to go within one week. He told BNN, "I didn't expect a bruised thigh to take this long to heal." So far this year, Smith is batting .259 with 15 home runs. |
