Mario Barillas Hurt, Out for Year Monday, September 23rd , 2024 Mario Barillas will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Charleston reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Barillas was injured while throwing a pitch in the Sea Dogs-Sea Turtles clash at Ballpark of Charleston recently. Doctors said he has a torn rotator cuff and would be out a minimum of 6 months. To this point in the season, Barillas has put up these figures: 5-0 record, 37 relief appearances with 52 innings, 2 saves, 57 strikeouts, 13 walks and a 1.04 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .221 batting average. |
