Scorpions Lose Simpson for Season
Sunday, September 22nd , 2024
When Syracuse starting pitcher Matt Simpson was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Scorpions-Captains game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Simpson had sustained a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for about 12 months.

This year, Simpson has registered 7 wins and 10 losses in 21 starts with a 3.87 ERA while registering 202 strikeouts and 48 walks in 162.2 innings.
