Whistlers Lose Wilber for Season
Sunday, September 15th , 2024
Pat Wilber of the Whistlers just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old Boston starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Tampa Bay Captains recently at Whislters Park. Wilber suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. The Whistlers medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 13 months.

On his stats sheet for the year Wilber shows a 17-9 record, 31 starts, 207 innings, 231 strikeouts and a 3.39 ERA.
