Setback for Fountain Hills and Juan Fernandez Monday, November 27th , 2023 A bit of bad luck has fallen on the Fountain Hills 23ers today as they learned that starting pitcher Juan Fernandez had suffered a setback in his recovery from a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will miss more time than expected. The team's doctors had been optimistic about the player's return date, but have now rescinded the original date. The initial guess at how much more time he'll miss is 5 months. In career numbers, Fernandez has registered a 40-53 record with a 3.86 ERA. |
