Boston Reliever Named AC #1 Pitcher
Wednesday, October 1st , 2025
What John Salgado of the Boston Whistlers did to American Conference hitters in September was criminal. He assaulted them, broke them and walked off leaving them lifeless and lost as he stole away with the Pitcher of the Month award for his barbaric behavior.
"Salgado was truly dominant out there," an opposing hitter said to reporters. "He really made hitters miserable."
The 26-year-old reliever threw 10 innings in 6 relief appearances as he registered 4 saves, 16 strikeouts, and notched a 2-0 record and 0.00 ERA for the month.
This season, Salgado has made 46 relief appearances, recorded 23 saves and compiled a 4-5 won-lost mark and a 2.72 ERA. In pitching 56.1 innings, he has totaled 68 strikeouts and 13 walks.
