Rehab Road Tough for Royals Scott King Sunday, October 4th , 2026 Scott King is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a bruised thumb. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Royals sent the 28-year-old shortstop back to the doctors for reexamination. King told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. King will now miss a minimum of one week. Hitting .283 to date, King has 1 home run and 42 RBIs. He has played in 131 games. |
