Rehab Setback for Randy Fischer Thursday, October 1st , 2026 All is not well with Randy Fischer in his recovery from a mild abdominal strain. The 25-year-old Invaders starting pitcher has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Fischer and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Fischer had re-injured himself and would now miss at least one week because of it. This season, Fischer has compiled a 16-5 mark with a 3.34 ERA in 31 starts. |
