Hit Parade: Espindola Pops 5 Hits
Monday, September 28th , 2026
Detroit second baseman Fernando Espindola had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Fountain Hills 23ers at Fountain Park as the Giants picked up a win, 7-6.
"He was patient up there," Detroit skipper Larry Voltaire told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Espindola has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Fernando Espindola singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Espindola has hit at a .328 clip and produced 82 runs batted in, 17 home runs and 89 runs.
