Austin's Campos to Miss 5-6 Weeks Monday, September 14th , 2026 The Desperados received bad news this morning. Sam Campos will miss 5-6 weeks due to a herniated disc. He sustained the injury in the Austin-Fountain Hills game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Campos sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This year, Campos has posted a 7-9 mark in 25 starts and has a 4.24 ERA. |
