Daytona Beach Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 9th , 2025 Even the most die-hard fans of the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Sea Turtles starting pitcher Mal Burkes. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the club's 8th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2017. In total, the Sea Turtles have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Sea Turtles have only made the playoffs once. |
