3 Boomers for McKinstry

Steve McKinstry was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 7-3 Oakland Invaders triumph at Whislters Park.
The 29-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Invaders past the Boston Whistlers.
"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," McKinstry told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."
The first baseman went 3-for-5, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day.
Steve McKinstry struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Danny Offen in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Danny Offen in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Josh Becker in the 9th.
For the season, McKinstry has produced 135 hits in 537 at-bats for a .251 average with 29 home runs and gotten on base at a .312 clip.
