Setback for Gladiators and Gabriel Crear Thursday, October 5th , 2023 A bit of bad luck has fallen on the Phoenix Gladiators today as they learned that first baseman Gabriel Crear had suffered a setback in his recovery from a broken hand and will miss more time than expected. The team's doctors had been optimistic about the player's return date, but have now rescinded the original date. The initial guess at how much more time he'll miss is 8 weeks. To date Crear has chalked up a .271 average with 14 home runs, driven in 52 runs and scored 41 times. |
