Hofland Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Indianapolis Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 The Indianapolis Eagles did something to Jim Hofland no team had done for the last 26 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Fire, who came away with the 3-0 victory at San Francisco Grounds. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 23-year-old right fielder said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted."
