National Conference Best Pitcher Chosen Sunday, November 14th , 2021 The Charleston Shiners have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Andy Weatherholt, this year's National Conference Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Weatherholt compiled a 15-5 record in 26 starts, tallied 122 strikeouts in 163.1 innings and recorded a 1.82 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .220 batting average against him.
