Barreto Plays Way to Rookie of the Year Honor Friday, November 12th , 2021 The regular season is now history and it's awards time in the American Conference. This year's winner of the Rookie of the Year Award is 24-year-old Carlos Barreto of the Philadelphia Marauders. The talented center fielder batted .307, played in 109 games and delivered 123 hits in 400 at-bats. His totals also included 15 home runs, 69 RBIs, 55 runs scored, 49 walks and a .390 OBP.
