Fountain Hills-Charleston Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, August 5th , 2025 After an intense confrontation, both the 23ers Joe Zerger and the Sea Dogs Omar Cons were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Fountain Hills-Charleston game. Joe Zerger will miss 4 games, while Omar Cons was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Joe Zerger commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Zerger is currently hitting .270 with 10 home runsand 35 RBIs, while scoring 31 runs. Thus far this season, Cons has worked 128 innings with 87 strikeouts en route to a 9-2 record and a 3.73 ERA. |
