Hofland Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games

San Francisco lost to the Cincinnati Royals, 3-1, at The Castle, but Jim Hofland kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Fire right fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.
"Jim has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," San Francisco manager Zach Freeman told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Jim Hofland grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season, Hofland has hit at a .307 clip with 45 RBIs, 5 home runs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 103 games.
