Ziersch Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, August 30th , 2023 Nelson Ziersch of the Charleston Shiners has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 3 hits in today's 16-4 triumph over Chicago at The Hideout. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Ziersch said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Nelson Ziersch walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, walked in a run in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Batting .310 to date, Ziersch has 25 home runs and 85 RBIs. |
