Day Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Tuesday, August 29th , 2023 Fleet right fielder Dale Day has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 1-for-4 in today's game against the Detroit Giants. San Diego won the ballgame, 14-4. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Dale Day singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. This season, Day has hit 6 home runs and posted a .328 batting average. |
