NC's Best Player Named Monday, July 28th , 2025 Toronto fans have something to crow about today as Toronto left fielder D.J. Van Diest nabbed the National Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Van Diest. He posted a .387 average (12-for-31) this past week with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. This year, Van Diest is batting .294 with 116 hits, 18 home runs, 76 RBIs, 40 walks, .363 OBP and has scored 66 runs. |
