Tampa Bay Snaps Pratt Streak at 20
Saturday, July 26th , 2025
The Tampa Bay Captains got more than the 7-4 victory at The Hideout -- they also put an end to the 20-game hitting streak of Chicago Gangsters second baseman Nick Pratt by holding him without a hit in 5 at-bats.
After the game, Pratt seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak.
"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."
Currently Pratt is batting .261 with 66 hits and 10 home runs. He has knocked in 30 runs and scored 40 times.
