Week's Best Player: Halifax's Fitzgerald Monday, August 24th , 2026 Josh Fitzgerald is respected by most Halifax Heathens fans for his no-frills style of play. The 27-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the American Conference Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .520 average (13-for-25) with 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored. So far this year, Fitzgerald has 21 home runs and a .306 batting average. |
