Julio Hits in 39 Consecutive Games Monday, August 5th , 2024 The hot bat of Gladiators first baseman Clemente Julio continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 39 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 2-1 loss to the Captains at Ahoy Park. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Clemente Julio grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Schroeter in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Julio is currently hitting at a .316 pace with 15 home runs and 75 RBIs. He has played in 114 games and scored 58 times. |
