Hit Streak for Herrera Reaches 20
Wednesday, July 29th , 2026
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.

Carlos Herrera did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Gran Estadio Azteca. For the last 20 games in a row, the 29-year-old first baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Boston Whistlers beat the Mexico City Aztecs, 3-1.

"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Herrera told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Boston clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day."
Carlos Herrera singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th.

For the year, Herrera has hit .296 with 11 home runs, 52 RBIs and scored 83 runs.
