The Gladiators first baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Clemente has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Phoenix manager Brett Bartlett told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Clemente Julio struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Julio's current batting average stands at .295 and he has chalked up 12 home runs and 58 RBIs. |
