Cincinnati 3B Sherlock Will Miss 5 Months Sunday, July 19th , 2026
The doctors have spoken and Heath Sherlock of the Cincinnati Royals didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Sherlock sustained his season-ending injury during the Maine Pines game yesterday at The Castle. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Cincinnati medical staff reported Sherlock had a fractured ankle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
At present, Sherlock is batting .237 with 74 hits and 8 home runs. He has knocked in 41 runs and scored 42 times.
