Fleet Pittman Suffers Setback
Wednesday, October 12th , 2022
Yesterday San Diego third baseman Paul Pittman sustained a setback in his recovery from a strained oblique. The Fleet medical staff told him it would be at least 5-6 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Pittman told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Pittman worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal.

This season, Pittman is batting .295 with 70 RBIs, 71 runs scored and 23 home runs.
