San Diego Star Hurler Wins Triple Crown Wednesday, September 28th , 2022 What a season Rodrigo Lemus had this year. The ace of the San Diego Fleet led the National Conference in all the major pitching categories. He ranked first in wins, ERA and strikeouts to capture the Pitching Triple Crown. In his epic season the talented Lemus finished with an outstanding 19-3 won-loss record, a 1.92 ERA and 314 strikeouts to top all other pitchers and put himself in line for the prestigious Cy Young Award. "I hadn't thought much about the triple crown," confessed Lemus. "I just go out and throw the ball. That's all there is to it. All I want to lead the league in is wins." His manager told BNN, "Rodrigo makes my job easier. I rest easy knowing he is penciled in to start. He just goes out there to dominate the hitters. He doesn't like them. I don't think he ever met a batter he liked. We don't even let him throw batting practice." |
