Playoffs Won't Happen for Shiners Wednesday, September 28th , 2022 It's a "gut-wrenching feeling," Charleston Shiners starting pitcher Andy Weatherholt said, for the team to have gotten so close to a playoff berth, only to be eliminated in the waning days of the season. The club was officially eliminated from the postseason chase today. Before this season, the Shiners last missed the playoffs in 2020. In the 23 years they have been a American Baseball Association franchise, they have missed the playoffs 16 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Shiners have missed the playoffs 4 times. |
