Playoff Bound: Royals Win Wild Card Wednesday, September 28th , 2022 For the Cincinnati Royals, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said first baseman Aaron Jalbert. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 86-76, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager Brad McBride said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 7th American Baseball Association championship. |
