Injury Sidelines Paul Pittman For Year
Friday, September 23rd , 2022
The doctors have spoken and Paul Pittman of the San Diego Fleet didn't like what he heard. The 30-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Pittman sustained his season-ending injury during the Vancouver Mounties game yesterday at Mounties Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the San Diego medical staff reported Pittman had a strained oblique and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5-6 weeks.

Looking at his season stats, Pittman has compiled a .295 batting average and a .432 on-base percentage, while hitting 23 home runs and driving in 70 runs.
