Daytona Beach Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Thursday, September 22nd , 2022 The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in American Baseball Association. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Sea Turtles manager Edwin Gomez said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." The Sea Turtles have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 18 years as a American Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2017. In the last 10 seasons, the Sea Turtles have made the playoffs 2 times. |
