Daytona Beach, Charleston Trade Players Friday, June 21st , 2024 Daytona Beach and Charleston announced today in a joint press conference that 29-year old LHP Antonio Sanchez will be going to the Sea Dogs in exchange for 25-year old minor league CF Mark Root. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. To date this season, Sanchez has compiled a 2-10 record with a 5.32 ERA in 16 starts. This season, Root has hit 4 home runs and posted a .285 batting average. |
