Hitting Streak Still Alive for Hicks Friday, July 11th , 2025 The Maine Pines stopped the Oakland Invaders, 8-1, and Eric Hicks collected a base hit yet again. The Maine third baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Hicks told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Eric Hicks grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Hicks is batting .361 this year with 14 home runs, 54 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 255 at-bats. |
