Marauders Advance to Championship Series Monday, October 11th , 2021 The Philadelphia Marauders didn't hold back their excitement after beating the Tampa Bay Captains in the Divisional Series tonight. Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 8-3 win moving the club on to the Championship Series, clinching a 4-1 series win in front of the Ahoy Park crowd. "This isn't the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a World Series, so it's an important step," said Manuel Rosas as he took a break from celebrating. "Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on." Rosas was named series MVP, as he hit .391 with a .417 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Captains sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching Philadelphia celebrate. The Philadelphia Marauders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Halifax Heathens - Detroit Giants series. Detroit leads the series 3 games to 1.
