First-Year Fame: Charleston Hurler Honored Tuesday, August 1st , 2023 A sparkling 3-1 mark in July just about says it all. First-year phenom Sean Stevens of the Charleston Shiners put up a strong performance and that's why the National Conference rated him the Rookie of the Month. He stood out by holding opposing clubs to a .186 batting average and compiling a 1.02 ERA. Stevens struck out 24 and walked 8 in 35.1 innings. Over the season Stevens has thrown 74.2 innings and dished out 61 strikeouts with a 7-1 mark and a 0.96 ERA. |
