Hitting Streak Still Alive for Schalow Monday, July 31st , 2023 With 1 hit at Ahoy Park, Hunter Schalow added another game to his hitting streak -- the Tampa Bay left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Captains, as they fell, 6-0, to the Hollywood Stars. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Hollywood manager Sean Simmers said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Hunter Schalow singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. Schalow is currently hitting .284 with 16 home runsand 60 RBIs, while scoring 46 runs. |
