Big Bat Pays Off, Tapia Player of the Week Monday, July 31st , 2023 Bobby Tapia of the Syracuse Scorpions might have lost a step over the years, but the 35-year-old third baseman can still get it done. He beat out several other worthy American Conference hitters over this past week to claim the Player of the Week Award. Tapia posted a .444 batting average with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs last week while scoring 7 runs. For the week he was 12 for 27. This season, Tapia is batting .276 with 12 home runs. He has scored 52 runs and driven in 60. |
