Playoffs? No Chance for Austin Saturday, September 14th , 2019 It certainly could have been worse this year for the Austin Desperados, but that does not mean it was a season to remember. The team was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2017. In total, the Desperados have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 20-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Desperados have missed the playoffs 3 times.
