Daytona Beach Loses Higginbotham for Year Tuesday, September 10th , 2019 Jonathan Higginbotham of the Sea Turtles just might have to call it quits for the season. The 33-year-old Daytona Beach starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Vancouver Mounties recently at Mounties Field. Higginbotham suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. The Sea Turtles medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4 months. Higginbotham has fashioned a 8-4 mark for the season, 3.18 ERA and thrown 158.2 innings in 27 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .260 against him. |
