Rivas Wins Newcomer of the Month Sunday, September 1st , 2019 A sparkling 4-0 mark in August just about says it all. First-year phenom Danny Rivas of the Boston Whistlers put up a strong performance and that's why the American Conference rated him the Rookie of the Month. He stood out by holding opposing clubs to a .184 batting average and compiling a 2.68 ERA. Rivas struck out 64 and walked 11 in 40.1 innings. Currently Rivas has a 13-4 won-lost record in 25 starts with a 3.71 ERA. He also has 222 strikeouts in 160 innings. |
