AC's Top Player Named Monday, July 10th , 2023 20-year-old Rob Black sent shock waves through American Baseball Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American Conference Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Black made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .522 average, 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBI. Where the New York Nightmare left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Black certainly made his mark last week. Black is batting .272 this season in 92 games with 39 home runs, 87 RBIs and 62 runs scored. He has 97 hits in 357 at-bats. |
