Ortiz Snares NC Top Batter Award in June Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 Juan Ortiz, the Charleston first baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .361 batting average with 39 hits, 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 31 times. That kind of hitting earned him the National Conference Batter of the Month honors for June. So far this season, Ortiz is hitting .348 with 12 home runs. |
