Tom Tchida Injured, Out for Year Saturday, September 3rd , 2022 The San Francisco Fire were dealt a severe blow when Tom Tchida was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Philadelphia Marauders. After the game, the team trainer reported Tchida might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 25-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take Tchida at least 11 months to heal. So far this year, Tchida has a 7-10 record with a 5.14 ERA. |
