Hat Trick of Home Runs for Blevins Sunday, June 2nd , 2024 Today was a special one for Matt Blevins of the Austin Desperados as he slammed three home runs in the 5-3 Desperados win over the Toronto Trash Pandas. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Austin left fielder collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 3, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Dell Diamond. Matt Blevins hit a solo-shot off Jesus Fernandez in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jesus Fernandez in the 4th and hit a solo-shot off Jesus Fernandez in the 7th.
