Gone Again! 3 HR for Moody Friday, August 19th , 2022 Elijah Moody went on an explosive hitting spree against the Maine Pines at Hollywood Grounds, launching a trio of blasts to help the Hollywood Stars win, 5-3. The third baseman finished 3-for-3 with 3 runs scored and 4 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Moody said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Maine skipper Chris Ware said Moody was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Elijah Moody hit a solo-shot off Josh Flaten in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Lorenzo Andrade in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Vinny Narvaez in the 10th. At the moment, Moody is hitting .278 with 26 home runs and 73 RBIs. He has played in 123 games and scored 87 times. |
